Taller de Paz-Colombia

A group of concientious, super energized students from Swarthmore University will be spending their Summer in Colombia doing and amazing project called Taller de Paz-Colombia.

Taller de Paz is a summer program that works with adolescent children of internally displaced families living in the outskirts of Bogotá, Colombia. The focus of the program will be to encourage peaceful resolutions to conflict and self-expression through photography, art, and digital storytelling as empowerment tools used by the kids to explore their own environments as well as their own meanings of peace.

Please check out their blog and support their project!

Exhibit Day at UPENN

What an amazing experience being able to exhibit my work alongside the students from the Goodlands Project. My Community/My Vision was a great opportunity do discuss how we all see our respective communities. Thanks so much to Johnny Irrizary, Casa Latina, and all the students from the University of Pennsylvania who helped put the exhibit together.

Abriendo Ojos, my First Book

I've just recently come out with my First self-published book, Abriendo Ojos, which is available on blurb.com. This book is a compilation of some of my best images from Colombia taken over the past 20 years. Proceeds from book sales go towards funding my outreach programs for youth in North Philadelphia and Colombia.
